Update on Church Opening

Dear Members and Friends of Williams Bay Lutheran Church,

On June 7th the church council met to discuss plans for reopening our church building for Sunday worship.  From that special meeting the council decided to form a COVID-19 sub-committee.  Members of this COVID-19 committee are Stu Bieber, Cris Elliot, and Pastor Tom.

The purpose of this committee is to pray to God for guidance on reopening our church building and to research COVID-19 data and information from Walworth County.  This committee will present their COVID-19 research to council on June 18th.  The council will then create a plan from the recommendations of the COVID-19 committee.

Once council creates a final plan it will be sent to all members and friends of the congregation.  The council is prayerfully and carefully considering all options for the safest way to reopen our church doors.

Thank you for your continued patience and prayers at this time.  We will eventually open up our church doors.  Through this challenging time our congregation will become stronger and more focused on the mission of God.  God is faithful and God will hear our prayers.

“As is the business of tailors to make clothes and cobblers to make shoes, so it is the business of Christians to pray.”   Martin Luther

In Christ,

Pastor Tom
