Youth and Education
During the 9:30 a.m. sermon, children 4 years through 6 grade gather in class rooms for Bible stories, music, crafts and activities. A coordinated curriculum offers age-appropriate activities and lessons that center on Bible stories, understanding and applying the good news of Jesus Christ in our lives.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer we hold our Vacation Bible School near the end of June and focus on inviting all children in our area. We have a fund and meaningful time as we spend the morning of each of the 4 days learning special songs, making crafts, enjoying unique snacks, and enacting Bible stories.
A well-designed curriculum provide engaging material for children of 4 years of age and though those who will enter 6th grade in the coming fall.
Confirmation classes give our 7th and 8th grade youth a special time to explore the Bible and ask question, study the Lutheran Catechism, and serve in leadership roles in worship and the church.
We meet September – May, Wednesdays at 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.
Youth and Family Activities
Throughout the year we enjoy having fun and fellowship through intergenerational events. We seek to bring family and friends together through these activities. Whether it is bowling, a trip to the aquatic center, or game night in the fellowship hall or horseback riding. Everyone has a good time.
Youth Mission Trips/Canoe Trips
We have sponsored both canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters Wilderness
in Northern Minnesota as well as service trips in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
These have proven to be deeply meaningful to both the your and the adults
Adult Bible Study
On Sunday, everyone is invited to join the Adult Bible Study at 11:00 am in the Hearth Room. The group is using the book, Sovereignty of God, from the Augsburg Adult Bible Studies. For questions or materials, contact Pastor Tom.
ELCA Women's Monthly Bible Study
The ELCA Women's Bible Study group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Hearth Room. Everyone is welcome.
The women of our congregation participate in the ELCA Women’s Bible study using the Gather magazine of Women of the ELCA. It offers a mix of articles, theological reflections, devotions, and stories of comfort and challenge that help readers grow in faith and engage in ministry and action.
The Sally's Circle ladies meet in the Hearth Room on the last Tuesday of the month.
We get together to discuss the monthly book, knit or crochet prayer shawls, or other needlework (cross stich or embroidery). It is an informal group and a great way to unwind from the day. We all enjoy each other's company and the fellowship we share. Please join us, even if you're not able to read the monthly book.
See Cheral Sadler or Mary Mock with questions about the group or the book reading list.
